A Giveaway from CSN!

One of my favorite features in our home is the kitchen's center island. None of our previous homes ever had one and I have to say, I am in love. The kids really enjoy helping out in the kitchen and having a bar area makes that so much easier. One of my favorite moments occurred a couple weeks ago when Zander sat at the bar and snapped green beans for me while I was cooking dinner. I was so proud of him! Cooking has never been more fun.

As pleased as I am with the bar, I am not nearly as happy with the seating arrangement going on there. Initially, I was very satisfied with our chairs--until one of our older boys broke one of them. Turns out, I didn't pick a real quality chair. Buyer's remorse is an ugly thing. Who knew that the local Large Mart store would sell such? Perhaps I should have done a little more research and bought a set of these adjustable bar stools from CSN instead.

The Cure for Your Winter Blahs

This time of the year can be pretty rough if you are a part of the military family. Chances are that you are far from your extended family, have friends scattered to the four winds, or possibly even have your significant other temporarily living on a separate continent; is it any wonder that we all get a case of the holiday blues?
