Pushing Beyond Comfort Zones

I have a thing for quotes--something I have written about before--and several of my refrigerator magnets have sayings on them. The one currently occupying the "in your face" position is this one:

Do one thing every day that scares you.

-Eleanor Roosevelt

I am not a brave or bold person by nature. In person I am rather passive; timid is a good word too. When I was younger I used to force myself to do things outside my comfort zone. There are reasons for that (which I'm not prepared to discuss here at this point), but that drive is what enabled me to do many of the things I did in my early 20s. I am trying to get a little of this mindset back. A hint of bold every once in awhile would probably be a good thing.

Sergeant Major Mom asked me several questions for my birthday ('cause she rocks!), and one of them was: Have you ever gone skydiving? Would you ever??

The short answer is no, which you probably could have guessed from above. I have never gone skydiving. Nor would I at this point. Another quote I like (and I don't know who first said it) is that I don't see the need to go jumping out of a perfectly good airplane! The closest that I ever came to anything like that was a bungee swing attraction at a local water park in Florida. Jason and I would normally never do something like that but my dad was there and he paid for it. We kind of had to. It was awesome and I am so glad that I did it--but I couldn't see myself doing it again! The swing part was great but that free fall at the beginning? Wow!

Are you fearless or timid? Maybe something in between? What is the most daring thing you have ever done?
